The bears managed to get 100 class wide rewards on Thursday which meant they could have a treat. They had a movie afternoon where they watched Peter Pan and had some popcorn. Then they went outside to the KS2 yard to have an extra playtime and enjoy their ice lollies.

We also learnt about a nasty, mean pirate called Captain Blackbeard. He was WANTED by many people so we decided to make a wanted poster to alert all the young children.

Can you think of three adjectives to describe Captain Blackbeard for two class wide rewards?

We have had a very busy two weeks.

First we made some pirate beards and decorated them with a range of materials.

Then someone stole Miss Kayani's treasure and we had to complete some activities in order to get it back! We went on a treasure hunt and we had to solve some number sequences by counting on in 2's, 5's and 10's in order to crack the code.

 After two days, we managed to crack the code and opened our treasure chest! It was full of lots of treats.

Can you write your own number sequence in 2's 5's or 10's? Let's see who can do this and get two class wide rewards!

Octagon Dance Performance

Congratulations to all the amazing dancers from dance club who bravely preformed their dance routine to an audience of hundreds! They performed very professionally and the audience loved them! You should all feel very proud, well done.

We have been learning about Pirates this week and we have been having lots of fun thinking about some Pirate facts and making our very own Pirate flags!

Today, we read the story 'Pirates Love Underpants' and we found it very funny. Then, we designed our own Pirate hats. 

I have really enjoyed working with you all and you have made me feel extremely welcome in my first week :-)
